Following a decision taken by the Executive Board of the University of Bern, the Bern Center for Precision Medicine (BCPM) will be closed on December 31, 2026.

We would like to thank the BCPM members for their valuable and active contributions – which lead to many positive results and the establishment of Precision Medicine in Bern, as shown in the final activity report below.

The Bern Center for Precision Medicine (BCPM) was established in 2019 through the initiative and support of the canton, the university, and the university hospital of Bern (Inselspital). The BCPM has been active in research, networking, and education. It has been dedicated to advancing precision medicine approaches by fostering the research and development of medical treatments and therapy methods. It provided an interdisciplinary platform for researchers and clinicians from different departments and faculties. The Center has been offering training and education to the next generation of care takers and scientists, realizing the long-term benefits of precision health care.
